Where is OAKDEN?
In Bongseon-dong, Nam-gu, Gwangju, South Korea: B1 #3, 5 Bongseonjungang-ro 47beon-gil, Nam-gu, Gwangju, Republic of Korea. In Korean: 광주광역시 남구 봉선중앙로47번길 5, 지하 1층 3호 (lot address: 광주광역시 남구 봉선동 469-5, 지하 1층). We are on the basement level (B1).
What are your opening hours?
Daily 6 PM – 3 AM. We open at 6 PM and close at 3 AM. Any temporary closures or changes are announced on Instagram (@oakden2026).
How do I make a reservation?
Call +82-10-2558-2696 or send an Instagram DM to @oakden2026. If you don’t have a Korean phone number, Instagram DM is the easiest way to reach us. Please book ahead for the private room or for groups.
How expensive is it?
Prices are reasonable both by the glass and by the bottle. Prices vary by bottle, so ask at the bar or send us an Instagram DM.
What whiskies do you have?
Our collection is worth about KRW 1 billion and includes The Macallan 30 and the full Springbank range. By our own count, it is the largest whisky selection in the Honam region (South and North Jeolla).
How does the private room work?
Our large private room is booked by one group at a time. It suits birthdays, team dinners and small parties; capacity and terms are explained when you enquire.
Do you serve food?
Yes. A former hotel chef on our team does the cooking: Tuna Time on Wednesdays and Thursdays, oven-baked handmade pizza, coffee and more. The menu changes with the season.
I don’t know much about whisky. Is that okay?
Absolutely. Tell the bartender what flavors you like and you will choose tonight’s glass together.
Can I come on my own?
Of course — plenty of guests drink solo. If you would like to be left in peace, just give the bartender a quiet “shh” gesture.
How do I get there?
A taxi is the easiest way. Show the driver the Korean address: 광주광역시 남구 봉선중앙로47번길 5, 지하 1층 3호. In Korea, Naver Map gives better directions than Google Maps.
Is there parking?
Please call ahead to ask about parking. If you drink, use a designated-driver service or a taxi.
Can minors come in?
No. OAKDEN is for adults aged 19 and over only. Minors cannot enter, even with a guardian.
